About the Philadelphia Engineering Foundation
Since 1967, the Philadelphia Engineering Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, has been the charitable arm of the Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia (a 501(c)6 trade association). Membership in the Foundation and its Board is contingent on membership in the Club.
The Foundation administers several awards and scholarships as part of Delaware Valley Engineers Week. This provides a 501(c)3 tax deduction to individuals contributing to these awards. For more information on these awards, visit the DVEW website.
In addition to this website, the Foundation is working on other programs to promote and advance the engineering profession. For one of our projects to highlight some of the city's engineering feats, the Engineers' Club of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Engineering Foundation have partnered with The Franklin Institute to create a self-guided walking tour for the public to better understand how engineering has played a role in creating some of the city’s most recognizable landmarks and some lesser-known attractions. More information on this tour is available here.
The Foundation is continuing to expand its efforts in student outreach and to provide a means for charitable contributions for this effort.
